Can you put 'baby daddy' in an obituary?

I get in trouble--a lot. Or I should say, my mouth gets me in trouble a lot. Why does it feel the need to say everything that comes to my head? Or that that these thoughts even come to my head? And why did god give me that extra sarcasm gene to go along with that out-of-control mouth?? Gees, it's a dangerous combination.

I figured out today that I need a secret blog. One that doesn't show my picture or have my name. One that I can write the truly wicked thoughts I have about the wacky people I come across. I want to write freely without hurting feelings. I want to tell silly stories of the goofiness I witness and of the weird process of thinking some folks have. You know, all that stuff that is different from me that I think is bizarre, but truth be told, I think you'd find bizarre too.

I'm holding back today, I just want you to know. I've got some wackiness in that there brain of mine, going 'round like a Tilt-o-Whirl of madness. But I'm keeping that mouth and those fingers in check.

Just this once.

This is a perfectly good place for snarky...I'm waiting with bated breath...

There is a certain freedom in anonymous blogging . . .

I have considered this many, many times. But I've had a couple of shocking experiences of how small the blog world is so I settle for writing those posts in my head. Because I could cause some world class alienation putting them out there in the universe.

LOL ~ my friend Katrina and I thought about the same thing ~ a second blog where no one knows it's us and we can say what we really feel ~ ha!

My sarcasm has gotten me in a little hot water as well ~ mostly at work. Sometimes it is so HARD to bite your tongue, just sit and be nice "smile and nod" and not give an opinion...no? :)

Have a terrific day Lin!

Now you know why I'm VL! But I don't have the guts to vent or bitch about anyone, not YET. Malaysia is a small country, you know.

I am seeing a blogger reality show on the horizon!! My Secret Life, we can share our private blogs and be the Bad Girls Club of the blogging world! LOL!

I'm sitting imagining what Charley, Paul or George Gobel would have responded to that question on the Squares. I don't think I can say that here, however . . .

HA! baby daddy...now THATS a good one! Snarky and Sarcastic, but good!

You can't do this to us! We need to know!!!!

I have lost count on how many times I've wanted to start a secret blog. As I've garnered some local readers I worry about what I do write, so the thought of having some place to vent about my husband or my work seems like a lovely place to visit. However, like all things you can never hide for very long.

Well, hell. Here's an idea just waiting to be born. Bloggers Anonymous at the Cardiogirl Empire. What do you say on Wednesdays you come over and post secretly.

I might have to hit some of my peeps up for that. I'll provide a voice scrambler and a huge wig to keep your identity secret.

Oooh, I would LOVE that blog....

Baby daddy? Hmmmm....okay, I give up! Get that private blog so we can hear the real deal!

I love that photo of you!

Yesterday I was at a family gathering (my in-laws), and someone said, "We're going to go into the living room and . . . see Elaine." Elaine was a beloved cousin who passed away a few months ago. We all kind of raised our eyebrows, and even tho I KNEW we were probably going to watch the video of the photo montage played at her visitation, my big yap opened and said, "Oooh! Is it a seance?!"

Uh, no. It wasn't.

I would LOVE to have a secret blog. It would be all about the people who piss me off. The ones I can't write about because I never know who's reading. And since this would be my secret blog I could use all those 4 letter words I want to use but have vowed to keep off my blog :)

Nancy said...

You could start that blog and then only tell certain people about it (like me).

I have to tell you, I've had this same exact thought. In fact, I purchased LittleMissSnark.com (no copy-cat-ing!) for that exact purpose... but then I realized I don't have enough time for all the snark I'd like to snark. :) One day, though...

And, yes, in answer to your question.

Mee2 said...

Ohhh, I have the same problem as you. So much shite comes out of my mouth, but it's like I just can't stop it from spilling out before it's too late. Sometimes that is evident on my blog, but I hold back a LOT there too.

Lin said...

Grace--I'm not telling. :)

DG--Yeah! I can post it on YOUR blog!!!

Shieldmaiden--What if we all went on a blog together and then nobody would know who wrote it??? Is there a way to be really anonymous?

Catherine--I'm bad about it at work too. :( I think we need a group blog.

Diana--I'm not sure Crack Ho would be politically correct, but it does sound funny! I have to figure out how to have a blog that nobody would connect to me. Is that possible?? You know all the ins and outs of blogs--can I do it??

Veronica--Maybe we can all go in on this together! Then nobody would know which one of us wrote the story!

Jo--Or we can all go in on one BIG BAD BLOG where nobody would know who posted the evil story!

Chuck--I don't know, but I'm sure it would be good. Those guys were GREAT! Paul Lynde was the best, wasn't he??

A.Marie--It's funny, but it's not, really. Think of all the different ways a family can be made up these days. Can you imagine the guy at the funeral home??? He's got to have a degree to sort all that out!

Sharky--Nope. Believe it or not. :)

Buggys--Ain't gonna tell. Nope. :) Maybe when I set up my secret blog.

Violet--I've got lots of stories that I can't tell! Don't you have that problem??

LJ--What if we all went in together on a blog and then nobody would know the identity of the writer??? I'm trying to figure out if we can truly be anonymous.

CG--How would I post? Would I have to send it to you in an email as an attachment? That might work. Hmmmm.....I think we are starting something here.

Pricilla--Something just may be brewing here. Imagine a group of bloggers all on anonymously, writing great, incredible stories! They can be wild. They can be nasty. They can be scandalous! Wow.

Chocolate--I was just thinking about the strange ways families are made up these days and how the undertaker has to write the obits now. Can you even imagine??

JD--You are definitely my kinda gal! I'd be cracking up in the kitchen with you on that one!!! That sounds like one rockin' family party, JD!

Ann--Oh yes, cussing would be allowed--but not overdone. I mean, you could use it to accentuate your story, but no excessive cussing for the sake of cussing. Mee2 could be our cussing editor--she is an expert.

Nancy--I'd have to figure out how to open it so that nobody could really trace it back to this blog. I mean, I'm just so polite and sensitive here. ;) Yeah....no.

Cute--I'm thinking we could all go in as writers on that blog--wouldn't that be fun?? And nobody would know which one of us is really telling the story. And no, I won't steal your name, pally.

Whatever you want to say must be so interesting! I would love to have a secret blog too - maybe someday. As of now I do a lot of deleting and backspacing to edit myself. It'd be so freeing to just say what I want to!

Storm, The Psychotic Housewife said...

You and me both! I wish I had thought to use at least a fake name - mine's so easy to Google, there's only like 2 of us!

Lin said...

Beaded Tail--Why do I think my secret blog has like 20 of us who are going to contribute??! Well, it might be more fun that way!! Just think of the stories!!!!

Storm--Yeah! What was I thinking???

VanillaSeven said...

We love you for you just being you Lin :)

ps: email me that secret blog url please :)

FishHawk said...

People take you seriously? Who? How? Why?

cardiogirl said...

Yes ma'am. You would send it either pasted in an email, or in Word as an attachment.

Obviously *I* would know your identity, but no one else would :)

Hmm, I don't know if you could (or would want to) answer comments since your gravatar would give you away.

Lin said...

Vanilla7--LOL! Yeah, the Evil Lin blog! :)

Fish--Who said anything about taking me seriously?? They would just take offense.

CG--It might be scary, CG. Very scary. :) I think there is a whole group of us who may flood your site--did you see how many of us want a secret blog???

Hot Rocks said...

I know you are dying to tell us.....you look loke you are going to burst!

Rebecca said...

Considering how sassy and tangy you are here sometimes, I would LOVE to read your "secret" snarky blog. ;) Let us all know when it's live! :D

Lin said...

Hot Rocks--Actually, that's my "oh, my gosh, I'm soooo excited!" face. I was due to meet author Jon Katz and I was acting all crazed-fan-like. But, it kinda fits here too, doesn't it?? :)

Rebecca--Oh, that was so nice the way you put that!! See, I can't do that. I would offend the world and there would be a bounty on my head. Sigh. I can only dream of the snarky blog I think.

Jennifer MacNeill-Traylor said...

I've always wanted a secret blog for the same reason, to let out the wackiness but to not disturb my regular readers or customers! Maybe I will someday:)
Oh and you better tell ME when you start that secret blog of yours:)
