Calling off

I'm taking today off. Yep, calling in sick or spring, or whatever you want to call it.

I don't feel like writing. I don't feel like trying to find a cute picture or come up with a good story from the week. Nope.

I'm going outside where the temps are a balmy 43 degrees and the sun is shining. I'm going to walk out in the mushy grass and wish the remaining snow away. I'm going to look out in the pond and hope the frogs poke their heads up one of these days. I'm gonna look for life coming up through the mulch in the garden. And I'm gonna relax.

C'mon, do the same, won't you? Come join me in ditching the world and it's calling and just breathe. And let's wait for spring together.

Hobbes is already out there waiting.

And isn't it a glorious day in the Chicago area? I'm joining you!

I had the same thing in mind - not to go out side, of course, but take a break from this ole 'puter. No new post today...minimal interwebz interactions - it's 11:45 am and I just turned the darn thing on, oho.

We're having blue skies here in England today, so I'll join you too! Have a great weekend!

I don't know if you would call it a day off but I am doing less computer and more other things. It is a beautiful sunny day here today

We change the clocks next week-yay Spring!

Yeah, Lin. I'm with you! It's just that there still is two and a half feet of snow on the ground here, freezing temperatures so that I have to make sure that Cajsa Cat is not left outside all night. She could freeze to death.
I've got a new e-mail-address for our new site!
I'll e-mail it to you! I work kinda "spotty" on the computer right now. But am making a little progress in some areas.
Take care and enjoy the oncoming spring!
I've got some green earrings to make!
Hugs
Anna
P.S. Thanks for stopping by my PH post with my troll-bank! Glad you like it.

Wow, you make me feel guilty. Your days off aren't really days of per say. You still have to say something, huh? Haha...I suppose I should mozy on over to my blog and actually post something:)

Lucky Hobbes. I have to put together my tax prep (and my dad's) for my accountant. I'm making Sparkle help me.

That's a wonderful idea. I was out doing exactly the same thing. So now I left this comment in the middle of the night when it was all over.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. That last comment you left on Crackerhead has me worried.

I went into the other room, intent on following your advice. I sat in the recliner, Midnight hopped up onto my lap and we both had a cat nap. Purrfect!

Sweet Hobbes in all his stripey goodness stretching on the beautiful green grass ~ I wish I could be there to rub his little belly! And to enjoy your sunshine!

Patricia--It was LOVELY! Ah, the warm sunshine, the blue skies, the 40 degree temps! It felt good.

Grace--Now that I'm done with EC, I find it easier to be a bit more relaxed with my blog and the computer. It is a refreshing change.

Dori--Isn't it amazing what blue skies and sunshine does for your spirit?? I had so much energy and felt so happy! I hope it stays this way soon.

Ann--I doubt that I was really "off" the whole day--you can see I posted. :) But, it was less time on the computer and more time living, which was nice.

Pricilla--Yeah, we did. :) Hobbes slept really well last night after all that fresh air.

Beaded Tail--He loves to roll around in the grass, but it was a bit mushy yesterday. I don't think he minded though--the sunshine made up for it.

Diana--Yeah! Well, maybe I don't want to know! ;) I found a huge lump of bread in my planter out front this morning. Apparently somebody grabbed it from someone's garbage and hid it in my planter by my front door for safe keeping. Nice touch to the front of the house.

Vanilla--Not yet, pally! Stay where you are until we give you the high sign.

Helene--We do?! Already?! Hooray!!

Anna--I got your email, and I'm going to look into the site. I'll email you back. Glad you kept your kitty safe and warm. :)

Nancy--I am never wordless. Never. So, I guess that's about at close to wordless as I get! Just ask my family! LOL!

Jodi--Are you still pushing bandwiches?! Yikes, don't they have an "off" season?

Lin said...

Chocolate--It's good to walk away from it for a bit, isn't it? That sunshine sure helps!

Roschelle--It was great! Was the sun shining by you??

Janiss--Ugh. Well, maybe it is good to get the work out of the way so you can enjoy the sunshiney weekends ahead. :) I'm sure Sparkle's help made it go faster. Or not. :)

Ratty--Oh my goodnes--middle of the night is right! What are you doing blog-hopping at that hour???! Go to sleep, Ratty!!

Fish--It's a kinder, gentler me, Fish! Don't you love it???! ;) Give me a day or two--it will wear off.

Red Cat--I'm VERY excited to do this!!! I'm going to check it out now! Thanks for setting it up!!

Chuck--Cats are the best pallies for naps! I use them as an excuse--"oh sorry, I can't get up--the cat is on my lap". It works every time! (I took a nappy with Hobbes yesterday too.)

Catherine--I wish you were here too! He wants someone in the yard with him all the time! He likes the company, so he'd be thrilled to have you here.

Rebecca said...

LOL well, you pretty good writing a post that you didn't write... ;)

Hobbes looks so cute in that pic.

You guys REALLY have bare grass right now?! We've still got a coupla feet of snow. The blasted stubborn stuff it is!

Hobbes reminded me of this PUMA brand logo :D

Lin said...

Rebecca--A lot of our snow melted in the warm sun this week. NOt all, but most. Hobbes was thrilled to see it gone and so was I.

Vanilla7--Yeah, except the Puma is running--Hobbes is just laying there! LOL! A lazy puma perhaps???
