Semi-Wordless Wednesday

There are just certain people
and places

that I spend one very short week with each year.

And I spend the rest of the year
wishing I was with them.

Not sure where you were but it sure looks peaceful and lovely! Wish we had some of that green here! :(

Hi Lin! I missed ya. Glad I'm back to catch up with what I've missed. Love the post about your old flame! That was really some cliff-hanger! I was expecting some really sordid details!

Came back today and have some great news about Condo Cat! Will post about her when I've finished unpacking. I have a mountainful of laudry to do.

Me too, oh yeah. I spend even less than a week with some friends and yes...spend the rest of the year waiting for that time to roll around again.

Its silly really. I miss that time again.

That looks so nice. All green and woodsy. And no snow. I like the woods.

That looks like a lovely place and a lively group. You've got me longing for vacation. I haven't had one in years (I won't say how many...it's terribly depressing).

Ahhh, a week away....you've got me dreaming today my friend :)

That looks lovely! I feel that way about visiting Whidbey Island with friends, times I daydream about constantly.

Yup, my feelings exactly... I miss my friend Marie all the rest of the year after our hikes are over.

That's why vacations are so important! They get you through the rest of the year.

Beautiful peaceful place!

I don't care for the outdoors - trees, and grass and lakes and bugs and dirt - or vacations or groups of people and I wonder why having become a hermit for real is annoying me.

So I'll just say good morning even tho it's afternoon - been a busy day..

After reading your stories about your trip, I wish I was there too. Take me with you!

It's been years since I vacationed with old friends, but back then it was fun. I am now like Grace with the solitude, but it doesn't tick me off, I like it. I really don't miss anyone any more because I enjoy my own company more because I never disappoint me. Beautiful spot though.

But what wonderful places and people you have to look forward to visiting again each year!

Catherine--Cumberland Falls, Ky. My favorite place and people in the whole world. Yeah, I miss the green too.

Veronica--I hope you had a good time, Veronica! We sure missed you here. :)

Tracy--Ah, good times, good times. :)

Buggys--It's nice to have something to look forward to each year.

Chuck--I'm not sure if it is the scenery that makes the people so nice, or vice versa, but I sure do love being there.

Jen--What??! No vacation? Ugh. You need to go SOMEWHERE, Jen. It's good for the soul.

Wngl--Aw, you have that too??! Nice. Good to have something to look forward to. :)

Sharky--Isn't it funny how much you miss them? It's good to have such friends.

Pricilla--Yeah. :) Every so often I go away with these girls on a trip and we have the best of times. They are the sisters I never had.

Stephanie--It's in Kentucky and I love it there. We all meet up for a week of vacation together and have a blast. I'm counting the days....

Grace--GRACE! Oh, chicky, we have so got to change this! You need bugs and dirt AND good friends! Well, and a little liquor too. :)

Casey--Oh you would fit right in I imagine! I laugh really hard with this wacky group. They are the sisters I never had. It's one of those "pick up where we left off" kinda situations. Gees, I miss them more now.

Roschelle--We have to drive far to get here--in Kentucky. I live in Chicago, so it's refreshing to get away from concrete and city congestion.

Ann--I'm not sure which came first--the place or the people. Either way, it is magical. :)

Stacie--:) Good times. Good times.

Mee2--Kentucky. We all meet up for a week in the summer. I live for that week all year round. :)

Chocolate--I forgot what grass and leaves look like! Doesn't the green just look extra green??

Jude--I never liked doing things in a group before, but these people are just FUN! I never laugh as hard as I do when we are with them. I'm counting the days until we get together again...

Beaded Tail--Yeah. It just eases the soul and refreshes me every year. Can't wait to get there...

What a great little break from all of these snowy scenes! There's nothing quite like the great outdoors and the places paired with people that make us the happiest!

Today wasn't so bad actually. The morning delay gives us teachers a chance to get in early and do a bit of catch up, so I'm liking that. The kids were OK too, they seemed a bit out of whack, but overall pretty much ready to be back in the swing of things. For many of our students school is the best thing they have...regular meals, positive attention, that kind of thing.

Ah, but do they feel the same way about you? If you take along your hip-waders, I would think that they do.

Gosh, it looks pretty there!

I wish that we got to spend the whole year together too...
I miss you so much!
Love you:)
