"I pray for a more friendly, more caring, and more understanding human family on this planet. To all who dislike suffering, who cherish lasting happiness, this is my heartfelt appeal." --Dalai LamaYeah, I'm with ya, pally.
Peace my friends. Enjoy your day today. May you find time to blob on the couch and snuggle with a loved one. May your weary head rest, knowing that you are either ready for Christmas or too tired to care. Look for a holiday favorite on TV and take the time to enjoy it. Turn off the computer and go stare at the beauty of the tree. Breathe, pallies. Just breathe.

I knew I loved that Dalai Lama for a reason!
I'm all for "blobbing" on the couch! What a great way to put it. :)
Yes, let us all paws for a bit.
(Thanks, Hobbes)
How do you get that cat to do things like that for the camera? Spike senses the closeness of a lens and he freezes up. I swear he does not have a playful bone in his hotness monster of a body.
Enjoy your cookies!
Love that pic of Hobbes!
I'm breathing, I'm breathing! I feel like Lamaze all over again!! ACK!! PANICPANIC
Actually, We don't "do" Christmas, so I'm pretty relaxed. It's a swell feeling, watching everyone run around like little ants, and I don't have to go to Walmart for ANYTHING! Yay!
Have a great week.
Patricia--And you can always count on him for a thoughtful post! Add a swell photo and wahlahhh--you are done! (It's my little secret!)
Cute--Isn't that what we do? I'm guilty!
Vanilla--LOL! Nice touch. :)
DG--Oh, Hobbes is a natural poser. He's a bit more shy now that he is a big boy, but he also likes a lot of attention. I think Spike is too cool for us.
Pricilla--Yum! We don't make many, but the one's Joe makes are GREAT!
Grace--Can't take a bad photo of him! Really.
Mrs. Mecomber--I hate having to go to the stores for the basics. I have this idea that all stores should have a Necessity Check Out, where you can get toilet paper and laundry detergent and such without having to stand in line behind the holiday shoppers. Good idea, eh? Now, who's gonna police the line???
Hello Dalai! You knew that had to be coming, didn't you?
Have a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year.
I'm blobbing on the couch and staying there. Still no Christmas cookies. Went to the hardware store (twice so far) and Walmart for parts and a wrench. I thought I was escaping the grumbling of Anastasia while she attempted to install the new(er) range. But not. Grrrr. Hopefully it will be installed Monday.
Well, I turned the computer off overnight and didn't turn it on again until this afternoon. Does that count? :)
I think I'll blob on the couch in about two hours. Then I'll go back and blob on the bed.
Love that pic... it's made even better by his peeking. Does he really do all of this stuff on his own or do you pose him? It's so funny/cute.
Hobbes always puts a smile on my face! And great post by the Dalai Lama - he sure knows his stuff! Enjoy the day Lin and I'll do the same making dog biscuits and cookies!
Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday season and amazing 2010!
peace,
Mike
Happy Holidays from livelife365
Rest and relaxation is just what I need right now. I thought I had everything for Christmas taken care of early, but it seems even with that I've had no time at all for anything. Being able to read blog stuff right now is like heaven.
I have been half-blobbing- on the couch watching movies while working on the computer. Gotta take advantage of the contract I got that was extended- and has to be done by Jan 1. All copies of White Christmas were checked out, so we watched Heidi. Does that count? (I'm not sure what we are counting)
Dude--I get that whenever I have the Dalai Lama guest post here. But that's okay, you're a new pally here. :) Still made me chuckle.
Lola--Uh oh. I'm not asking. Are the cats helping her??
Petula--Good for you! You did some major blobbing! No, I don't pose Hobbes. His personality is completely reflected in the photos that I take of him being so darned silly. That is life with Hobbes!
Beaded Tail--It's the combo of the Dalai Lama and Hobbes that makes my post so easy today! Hope your dog biscuits turned out well! ;)
Mike--Hey, welcome new pally! Wishing you a Merry Christmas too!
Ratty--Isn't it crazy?? Why must it be like this? I'm glad you had some time to just read your fav blogs today. I'm honored you stopped to comment here--I'm struggling with that myself.
Sharky--Nobody is counting, but yes, Heidi counts. Anything that makes your soul rest and your feet get the chance to be higher than the floor is good. Glad you had a good day, pally.
I have been sitting here trying to think of something snide to retort, and I've got nothin'. Alas, surely the end is near.
My what a big paw you have...
Love that pic. I'm going to have a Hobbes Ipod soon. Don't even have pics of my grandkids on it yet...
Fish--Aha! The Dalai Lama pushed you over the edge!
Helene--Don't worry Helene, I've got more photos of Hobbes in my cache than my own kids. :)
Can I just say that Hobbes paw looks larger than usual in this snapshot.
Jodi--It's that 3-D effect that we've got going on here, Jodi. :)
I like blobbing on the couch. I'm doing it right now.
