Work beckons, have-to's are lining the calendar with red ink, end-of-the-year banquets, concerts, and I-gotta-be's are everywhere. Sigh.
On the bright side is the woodpecker on the suet this morning, freshly planted pots of color grace the patio, there's a new faux turtle in the pond (Okay, so it's a sea turtle--it's the only kind they had), and my ever-breaking outdoor clock is actually working. There is some good news out there!
Happy Monday, pallies.

That was a pretty sad game yesterday. We caught part of it while we were out at a Chinese restaurant. (Weird I know, never expected them to have tv's let a lone have a game on.)
At least you got to spend the day with your family. (Just keep telling yourself that.) It was not a good weekend for either team. :(
I hate Monday's, but if we did not have them, then we would all be hating Tuesdays.
Way to think positive. Hope the rest of the day is brighter for you!
Happy Monday to you as well...hey sorry about the game tho..haha
enjoy!
Have fun with Photoshop Elements! We have that program, too, and it does everything we want.
Happy Monday, sorry it's been sucky so far. Ditto over here, I'm over this week already and it just started.
The publicist has photoshop elements but she is too stupid to figure out how to work it. Even after reading the dummies book. Kinda like with her new camera....there is no hope for old publicists....
I got extra apple for Mother's Day so I was a happy goat! Sorry your baseball game was lousy.
Lola--How's your back today?? Are you doing a "number 7" like Joe?? It was a nice day to get out of Dodge and not have to do laundry and such. Had a few vodka lemonades and relaxed. Sigh.
Danny--Yeah, I know. I just love complaining about Monday. And then I got to work and the computers were down for 2 hours. I kept suggesting we just go out for breakfast, but nobody was in with me. :(
Lenox--Oh, it wasn't that bad--just Monday and routine. Ugh.
Ricardo--Bummer, eh? I knew it wasn't going to be good when I saw who was pitching. Well, it was nice to relax either way.
Daisy--I've heard you have to get the book to figure it out. So, that's what I'm gonna do. Is that how you do all your nifty stuff at your place??
Casey--I just hate the setting the alarm and it goes down from there.
Pricilla--Well, I think you need some smarty pants teenager at your house to help you figure it out. I've got one of those, so I think I'm good. I just wish I had the time (and the book) to really learn it well.
I smile as my Cardinals won one for the mom's yesterday.
And, I continue, counting down the days till school ends. Eleven when I wake tomorrow. :-)
Jodi--Hooray! on both accounts!! Did you go to the game yesterday??
There ya go with the water feature horror stories again! Lin, I have no choice but to move forward with mine. There is a big hole in my yard! But you are not making it easy for me.
No fair, I want to see the woodpecker!
At least there's some great positives to look at, include your faux pond turtle.
Go fix yourself a tall glass of lemonade and sit by that waterfall for a bit. You'll be feeling better in no time.
Panther--Ah, it's nothing a little well-placed pond foam won't cure. Be sure to buy it when you put in your pond/waterfall. But buy it at the hardware store ($10) and not the "Pond" store ($20). Everything at the pond store is double! Also--look for your supplies online--we bought our skimmer, waterfall holding tank (top basin) and pump online which was less than half what the local pond store wanted. Shop around !! Oh, you'll LOVE the pond--it has been by far the best thing we have done to our house! Good luck.
Chocolate--There are just some times when I don't want to grab the camera and this morning was one of those. I was outside with my cup of coffee enjoying the peeping goldfinches while the woodpecker at the suet. It was a simple joy. It's what is important in this world.
Element's huh? Now that's wonderful way to spend a rainy day....ehh...or entire weekends. Welcome to the learning curve. Fran's Dad
Mondays are kind of a drag, but we have to get the week started some how. I used to hate going to sleep on Sunday nights cause when I woke up, it was Monday.
I love that photo... I don't think I got how it relates except for the pond, the waterfall and the turtle. Oh... never mind. LOL
I'm not generally a fan of Monday's, but even though I had a blah/yuck day it wasn't too bad I guess.
Sorry about the game.
Fran's Dad--Okay, don't go scaring me. I'm getting the book to help out and I've got a teen in the house, so that might help a bit too. I've heard mixed things about PSE, but I've got to jump in somewhere.
Merry--It's that whole waking up to the alarm that stinks. But I guess you have to wake up or you'd be dead. That doesn't sound like as much fun somehow.
Petula--Some days the photo doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the story. Yeah, I've had some comments about that, but hey, it's me--funky, weird, sometimes disconnected. Also, I didn't have a story about raindrops on a pansy leaf. :) Go Tuesday!
Sorry about the game but at least you got a faux turtle in your pond! Photoshop Elements sounds like fun!
You just reminded me, I saw a small woodpecker just a couple of weeks ago. It's the first one I've seen since we moved to north Texas 2 years ago. :-D
Beaded tail--It's a SEA turtle!! It looks so dumb, but what can you do?? The last guy got dry rot, bummer. It will be interesting to see if anyone notices. :)
Lynne--I love woodpeckers. I like their little peep-peep when I'm in the yard and they are too shy to come to the suet. They won't come down to eat, but they'll give me hell from the tree. Go figure.
Lin, it was an away game...watched on TV while I lounged in bed :-)
I joined Entrecard. I'm a little confused about how it works, but I guess I will figure it out. I just hope I don't crazy trying to figure it all out.
I love Mondays only because they restore sanity to my life after a weekend of chaos with hubby and the boys not at work or in school. Besides, all my fav TV programs are on Monday.
BTW, whenever you see a frog or a cat pic, you'll know they are specially picked for you.
We do everything with Photoshop Elements (cropping and adjusting our photos, making comics, etc). My Mommie did not read the manual, it seemed too hard! We just learned by trying different things, and also finding on-line tutorials.
Jodi--That's good you didn't even have to leave your bed to watch a winning game. Yea! EC is best if you have firefox--download the toolbar, it helps. I think you'll get some exposure from it.
Veronica--Oh, I can see why you like Mondays! Do your kids have the summer off or are they on a year-round rotation?? I know some moms dread summer. I always loved them--I liked having the kids home. But, I also booze it up a lot too. (kidding!)
