Fran's Dad........Man on the Scene!

--Fran's Dad gets the "Man on the Scene" award! After reading the blog, he sends me the photos of the event, taken from high in the stands. He, too, was mortified by the slow response of the contest organizers while horrified parents watched for what seemed like forever.

--I have to admit, I really laughed when he sent them to me--not that it was funny that she went down (she later walked off the field, so she was ok), but that he actually took the photos. He had an excuse, unlike Joe, for not helping the poor thing--he was on the second level and unable to rush to help. But he thought about it. Thinking about saving someone counts almost as much as actually doing it--just ask Joe.
